The 133rd China Import and Export Commodity Fair (also known as the “Canton Fair”) was held in Guangzhou from April 15th to May 5th. This year’s Canton Fair has fully resumed offline exhibitions, with exhibition area and number of participating enterprises reaching historic highs, attracting hundreds of thousands of buyers from over 220 countries and regions to register and participate.
One warm greeting, one in-depth exchange, one round of wonderful negotiations, and one happy handshake…… In recent days, in Pazhou Exhibition Hall near the the Pearl River, businessmen from all over the world promote new products, talk about cooperation, and seize the huge business opportunities brought by the Canton Fair.
The Canton Fair has always been regarded as a barometer of China’s foreign trade, and this grand occasion releases positive signals of trade recovery, showcasing China’s new vitality in opening up to the outside world.
The second phase of the Canton Fair has just opened, continuing the explosive atmosphere of the first phase. As of 6pm, the number of visitors entering the venue has exceeded 200000, and about 1.35 million exhibits have been uploaded on online platforms. From the aspects of exhibition scale, product quality, and trade promotion, the second phase is still full of enthusiasm.
The scale of offline exhibitions has reached a historic high, with an exhibition area of 505000 square meters and over 24000 booths, an increase of over 20% compared to before the epidemic. In the second phase of the Canton Fair, three major sectors were formed: daily consumer goods, home decorations, and gifts. Based on market demand, the focus was on expanding the exhibition area for kitchen utensils, home furnishings, personal care equipment, toys, and other items. More than 3800 new enterprises participated in the exhibition, and new enterprises and products emerged one after another, with a wider variety of products, providing a one-stop professional procurement platform for buyers.
