Buckles can be seen everywhere in our daily life, from ordinary clothes, shoes and hats to regular backpacks, camera bags and cell phone cases. Buckle is one of the most commonly used accessories in backpack customization, almost all types of backpacks will use buckle more or less. Backpack buckle according to its shape, function is different, there will be different names called, customized backpacks use more buckle types are release buckle, ladder buckle, three-way buckle, hook buckle, rope buckle and so on. The following will give you an introduction to the usage of these buckles and their characteristics.

1.Release Buckle

This buckle is generally composed of two parts, one is a plug, also known as the male buckle, the other is called buckle, also known as the female buckle. One end of the buckle is fixed with webbing, the other end can be adjusted by webbing, according to different needs and choose the length of the webbing, in order to adjust the range of motion of the buckle. The place where the strap hangs behind the buckle is generally made of single or double gear. Single gear is not adjustable, and double gear is adjustable. Release buckles are generally used on backpacks to secure shoulder straps, packs, or other external items and are most commonly found on the shoulder straps, waist belt, and side panel areas of backpacks.

2.Three-way Buckle

The three-way buckle is a commonly used accessory on backpacks and is one of the standard accessories on backpacks. There will be one or two of these buckles on a typical bag, mainly used to adjust the length of the webbing. In order to prevent slippage, many of the crossbar in the middle of the three-way buckle are designed with stripes, there are also two crossbar on the side to expand to place their own logo for backpack. There are hardware type and plastic type of three-way buckle, hardware three-way buckle is generally made of zinc alloy mostly, the material of plastic three-way buckle is usually POM, PP or NY.

3.Ladder Buckle   

The material of ladder buckle is usually PP, POM or NY. The role of ladder buckle is also to shrink the webbing, used in the end of backpack shoulder straps, to adjust the fit of the backpack.

4.Rope Buckle

The main material of rope buckle is PP, NY, POM, using the elasticity of spring ring, staggered to catch the rope. Ropes are available in caliber size, single and double holes, suitable for use with all types of nylon ropes, elastic ropes and can be designed according to customer requirements logo. The current design of the rope buckle has been very different from the previous, there is a wide variety of options to choose from.

5.Hook Buckle

The materials used for the production of the hook buckle are made of PP, NY or POM. Hook buckle is normally used in the detachable shoulder straps of the backpack, hook is connected to the D-ring on one side, and the other side is connected to the webbing. The hooks are now made of plastic, and there are also a lot of metal hooks, which makes the strength and durability of hook buckle greatly enhanced.
